Removeable blade cutting unit, not required, but it is a convenient feature for replacement needs. DO NOT submerge in water prolonged, do not leave sitting in sink water puddle, do not clean inside dishwasher. Store jar with blade upright not upside down, hand-wash and hand-dry, for increased blade bearing longevity. Blend multiple type of ingredients from seeds, broccoli, carrots, avocado ... sauces, smoothies, soups, nut butters, purees, ice cream, etc... Make smoothies from 12 ounces or even with 80 ounces of ingredients. Keep in mind, if the blade won't reach the ingredients because of small amount, it won't blend. The jar is easy to clean. But the drawback is, with ingredients as low as 10 ounces or 8 oz or less, the blade won't reach low enough and won't blend it therefore. INSPECT before every use!
Jar fits on all standard supported Blendtec blender bases, including inside sound enclosures!
Fits also on other blender bases, subject to replacing blade assembly for correctly fitting cutting unit. For example Omni and Waring motor turns counterclockwise and the gear size is larger.
Note, for longer lasting blade bearings, keep out of dishwasher and hand-wash only, hand-dry. Make sure the bottom plate retaining nut stays hand-tight at all times to prevent damage to the jar.
